HOMEWORK:

1. MUG Week #5 Study Guide: Using the Right Word

2. Vomit, Outline, Essay due 10/24:
"A wealthy donor plans to build a new facility to improve the lives of young people (K-12) in Ipswich, and they would like your advice. Write a five-paragraph letter to the donor describing the type of facility needed and explain how it will benefit young people (K-12) in Ipswich."

As always, your typed composition should present:
  • A rock-star title
  • An introduction featuring one of our five techniques
  • Three meaty body paragraphs that begin with topic sentences
  • Many SDs (supporting details) in each body
  • A few SE's (specific examples) in each body
  • Enough transition words to glue the ideas together
  • A conclusion featuring one of our four techniques
